Shipley Energy Participates in Oil Heat Cares

York - Oil Heat Cares is a nation-wide program that was created by the National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM) in the summer of 2004. This program reaches out to individuals in neighborhoods that have temporary heating needs through local members of NAOHSM.
David Yates, Owner of F.W. Behler Heating & Plumbing and trade magazine journalist contacted Shipley Energy to become involved in Oil Heat Cares, for an individual in the York, PA community that was without heat for several weeks. Crystal Keeseman, an expecting single mother in York City recently purchased a 1940's home with her savings and couldn't afford to pay for the new boiler that was needed. The following Central Pennsylvania businesses decided to step in with Shipley and help, Northeastern Supply Company, R.E. Michael Company, Shipley Energy and Weil McClain, by donating supplies and time to install a new boiler for this local family.
Northeastern Supply Company donated a baseboard, R.E. Michael Company donated materials for the boiler fitting, Shipley Energy's International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Unions Local 243 donated installation time along with Shipley Energy's Retail Energy Department donating 100 gallons of heating oil and Weil McClain donated a boiler.

Ten of Shipley Energy's Installation and Service Technicians will work on Saturday, December 18, 2004 to install a new boiler in one day. Tom Sease, Shipley Energy Residential Installation Manager, stated "I think it is fantastic that we can help someone in need in this area, when the rest of us don't have to worry about heat, especially during this time of year."
