YORK, PA - Oliver Oil Company, Inc. today announced its pending merger with Shipley Energy Company, a York, PA. based home heating oil and propane delivery company. Oliver Oil is in the same line of business and serves the Franklin and Fulton County, PA markets.

Upon completion of the transaction, expected to be finalized December 9, 2005, Shipley Energy will acquire the retail and commercial home heating oil and propane gas business of Oliver, as well as the Company’s bulk storage facility in Chambersburg, PA. This will allow Shipley to introduce its one-stop-shop of energy products and services to Franklin and Fulton counties, solidifying the company’s position as Central Pennsylvania’s leading energy supplier.
