Check your thermostat:
- Is it set above room temperature?
- Be sure your thermostat is set on heating mode.

Make sure your oil burner switch is in the ON position. |
With oil back up heat, be sure your oil burner switch is in the ON position:
- The heat pump will not operate when the oil burner switch is in the off position.

Check all fuses and circuit breakers:
- Look in your main electric panel box.
- Circuit breakers may look like they're on. Check that they're not tripped.

Check the blower door:
- The blower door may be removed or slightly open. This could cause a switch on the door to shut down the furnace.
- Close the door securely.
